My apiary in my back garden with honeybees humming and birds chirping, it is my paradise that I relax in.
I and my Dad (he is in his seventies and enjoys good health) keep honeybees in our back garden. My bees are not just Irish native bees, they have a name. They are from Clontarf (Irish:Cluain Tarbh, meaning “meadow of the bull”) and they get most of their nectar and pollen from the meadows on the Dart line and the seafront. I name them the Meadow Bees from Clontarf!
